Every stone we sell is untreated and unenhanced, exactly as it came out of the ground.

Where it comes from

We source opal, fossilised wood, and much more directly from cutters and dealers across New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia's opal fields, selecting each piece for colour, pattern, and the natural matrix it carries.

What you see is what you get

The stone in the listing is the stone you receive no substitutions, no surprises.

Cut and polished in Surry Hills

Rough stone is shaped and polished in our Sydney studio, cut to bring out the colour bar and pattern already inside it.

Sold loose, on purpose

Our stones are unset — collector's pieces, ready for your own setter or your own shelf.
